Resources for Learning About Wisconsin’s Abundant Biking Opportunities
David Spiegelberg, Regional Tourism Specialist at Wisconsin's Department of Tourism
David will highlight different ways to learn about the state's many biking opportunities. He will focus on TravelWisconsin.com, tourism partner resources and other state agency resources as well as Wisconsin-based biking organizations. Everyone is welcome. Be sure to attend this session to learn about the family friendly destinations and activities Wisconsin has to offer.
Sports Nutrition for the Endurance Athlete

Charity Fundraising: How Not to Lose Friends

We'll talk about some good techniques to start you out on your quest to raise funds. We'll also cover quite a few of the How To Lose a Friend tried and true techniques that will halt your fundraising
and keep it forever in neutral, or worse, put it in reverse. How Not to Lose Friends' main focus will be on the online aspect of charitable fundraising. Target Audience: Age 16 and up, with working knowledge of email, some social media experience is helpful. *This presentation will not focus on the start-up details for online fundraising. Every charity's online software is different and this presenter is only versed in one platform.

This seminar is for anyone who is thinking about or interested in doing their first triathlon or have done a few triathlons but would like to improve their performance. This Tri 101 Training Clinic will provide attendees with tips and how- to’s on TRAINING as well as a general overview of race weekend as you prepare for your triathlon. This is a great way to learn some basics about triathlon and the gear that you will need, in addition to giving some time saving tips!!

Who says you can’t burn calories, enjoy the scenery, see traffic around you easier, ride farther and when you are finished still have that smile on your face. A new expression comes to mind when riding recumbent bikes: “All Gain with No Pain”. This translates to the absence of pressure points on both hands, bearing weight over the handle bars and no longer with seat back support having road shock radiation up the arms into shoulders and neck creating discomfort. Having a Greater Impact: The Significance of the Team
David is an eleven year survivor of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and started writing a "family & friends" newsletter during treatment, under the pen name "Chemo-Sabe". A colleague and breast cancer survivor told him about the Scenic Shore 150, and he has been riding it since 2004. He started Team Chemo-Sabe the next year, as a way to have some familiar faces to ride with... and the Team has grown into a significant force in raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
